Node.js and io.js Merge Under the Node Foundation

By Natalia Sergeeva | 1 min read

Interesting news in the past weeks about Node.js and io.js convergence. This is important for us at JScrambler because it allows us to simplify our build process. Most of our modules are already coded using ES 2015 (former ES6), which requires us to transpile the source code using babel.

Now, with all io.js features to support the newest ES we can simply drop babel usage. This also improves the performance of our software because many of the features have a great impact on it (arrows, generators, etc).
